Programs
We have a friendly and welcoming environment for all ages. Each class provides large group time, small group time, and individual time with the teachers. We understand the importance of learning through play where children are free to choose their own activity: manipulatives, art, books, and dramatic play. During snack time your child will get a turn at helping. We want your children to learn to be self help, so they take turns passing out cups, napkins, snack, and throwing away their garbage. Each class has circle time where the theme of the week or month are introduced. During this time, the children learn to site the Pledge of Allegiance, sing God Bless America, learn the days and months of the year, hear a story and engage in music and movement. There is also a hands on learning activity where they are practicing literacy, math, science, gross motor, self-control, and language development. Along with circle time there is individual time with the teachers. Here the children are engaged in the project of the day where the teacher is assisting with manipulation skills, mental development, and work habits. We also help our children with feeling secure, healthy and safe, and learn to be social while learning how to get along with others.
2-Year Old Preschool Class
We understand this may be the first time your child is away from you. We want your 2 year old to feel secure. We provide a warm welcoming environment, along with ample time for social and emotional development. There is time for self-expression through art and music and movement. We have fun with colors and shapes, and begin to look at numbers and letters later in the year.
3-Year Old Preschool Class
In our Three Year Old class we see friendships forming and encourage the social and emotional development. They will begin to learn to identify their names, identify numbers and letters, learn their address, and follow directions. We also feel it is important for them to use art and music for self-expression. We work on developing fine motor skills like cutting and eye-to-hand coordination.
4- Year Old Preschool Class
All of our Four Year Old Classes are Kindergarten Ready and provide an Enrichment Learning environment so they can acquire the skills they need for Kindergarten. We practice name writing, math, and literacy on a daily basis. Each week we focus on a letter of the alphabet. Each child has his or her own alphabet book where we practice writing the upper and lower case of each letter and glue pictures that they found at home into the book.
Enrichment Class
The enrichment class is designed for children who completed a Pre-K class but still not ready to go to kindergarten. Children will learn early reading skills,do simple math, explore other countries, experiment with science, and enjoy the arts. Each child receives a folder and notebook to practice writing.
